Archaeology Camp 2025 - A HUGE SUCCESS!

The Friends of Fort Frederica sponsored another very successful Archaeology Camp at Fort Frederica National Monument. It was made possible by generous donations from the Elkin Alston family and our wonderful Friends Members.

Archaeology Camp is available to children who have completed third through fifth grade. The dates for Archaeology Camp this year were June 16th-June 20th. Our Advanced Archaeology Camp is reserved for returning campers who have completed 5th grade. The dates for Advanced Camp were June 23rd-June 27th.

Registration for the camp opened on the website on February 2nd.

Our goal was to provide a healthy, safe, educational, and FUN camp experience. We had a fun summer exploring history and learning from the science of archaeology at the Fort, and all the campers had a great time learning to dig for artifacts. We are already looking forward to next year’s camp!
